17 March 2009, Warsaw, Cards on the table - European Elections. Professor Grabowska has participated in a programme by Andrzej Kwiatkowski. The programme was concerned with the forthcoming elections to the European Parliament.
 
14 March 2009, Ruda Śląska, A March against Violence towards Women. Professor Grabowska invited by Silesian Association of Fundamental European Right has participated in a march in the streets of Ruda Śląska. The event aimed at expressing lack of tolerance for the violent treatment of women. The president of the city, Mr Andrzej Stania has also participated in that event.
 
13 March 2009, Piekary Śląskie, Radio Piekary. Professor Grabowska after being invited by Mrs Krystyna Gajdzik -a reporter working for Radio Piekary, participated in a programme “Guest of the Day”. During the meeting professor Grabowska has answered numerous questions from the hearers and described her work in the European Parliament.
 
13 March 2009, Piekary Śląskie, The Day of Europe in the High School no 4. Professor Grabowska, invited by Mrs Ewa Adamiec, the head of the High School no 4 in Piekary Śląskie and Mrs Kamila Swoboda, the patron of school European Club, has participated in the celebration of "Day of Europe". She has delivered a lecture on the Polish membership in the European Union and answered numerous questions asked by the students.

12 March 2009, Strasbourg, Professor Grabowska about the review of European Parliament concerning crisis solutions. “The economical crisis has already reached Europe. Recent forecast for the 2009 year is that there is going to be a growth of 1% or less. We are in one of the most serious recessions that have ever touched the European Union. Our economics are connected and as crisis is of global range, the solutions must be of that character as well  ” said Professor Grabowska.

11 March 2009, Strasbourg, Plenary debate concerning the current state of SIS II system. Professor Grabowska participated in a debate concerning the SIS II system. Although there were certain improvements introduced, new version of managing outside borders of European Union, called SIS II, still does not function, as it ought to. “We are facing problems concerning technical issues which is as important as political matters” said Professor Grabowska.
 
11 March 2009, Plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Professor Grabowska has expressed her opinion about the Solidarity Fund within the European Union. She said that the rule of solidarity is unquestionable and fundamental; It exists not only on paper and it distinguish the Union from other international organisations. Last year five countries has benefited from this programme. It proves that in face of a calamity, none state remains lonely.

11 March 2009, Strasbourg. Professor Grabowska has submitted an announcement concerning European standard for children footwear. In this announcement she has appealed for common, European standards concerning the chemicals and orthopaedic requirements for the footwear for children under 15. She has also pointed to the need of undertaking actions in order to support educational programmes for parents and footwear sellers.

10 March 2009, Professor Grabowska for equal salary for equal job. Professor Grabowska would like to draw your attention to the European campaign against lower salaries for women. The European Committee has started this campaign to eliminate the discrepancies between the sees. In the European economy, women earn 17.4 % less than men do. The aim is to make people aware of this fact and propose solution.

European Entrepreneurship Video Award 2009. Professor Grabowska is warmly encouraging to participate in a competition for the best European video promoting entrepreneurship.  Over 60% of European citizens have never considered establishing an enterprise. This initiative is to make people think of profits that may be derived from one’s own business and to present a vision of one’s idea.

7 March 2009, Katowice, 4th Silesian female demonstration. At invitation from Mrs Małgorzata Tkacz-Janik Professor Grabowska participated in the 4th female demonstration. In Movie Art. Centre guests and participants of the demonstration were pondering upon woman’s right to choose the place of giving birth. Professor Grabowska shared her observation that women are treated unequally when refund is concerned.
 
06 March 2009 Mysłowice, Women`s Day. Professor Grabowska, invited by Mr Piotr Mzyk, the president of Union Trade of Miners in Poland , has met with the female members of   the Mysłowice Mine. During the meeting she has wished all the best to the ladys.
 
06 March 2009 Sosnowiec, Meeting with the Youth. Professor Grabowska has been invited by Mr Tomasz Szyjkowski, the head o f the High School no 4 in Sosnowiec and Mr Janusz Kubicki, a history teacher to participate in a meeting with the Youth as a part of the School Politics Club. During that meeting Professor Grabowska  has been talking about her work in the European Parliament and the image of Poland from the perspective of Brussels.
 
5 March 2009, Brussels, International Women’s` Day. Professor Grabowska participated with national deputy heads in a debate titled “Women and European elections” which took place in the European Parliament in Brussels. Professor Grabowska stated that these elections are of great significance and should not be ignored by society. She also expressed her belief that women’s activities are important, both in society, politics and in filed of work.
 
26-28 February 2009, Wisła, Economic Forum- Silesia 2009. Professor Grabowska is participating in the biggest event concerning the region of Silesia. The Forum is an initiative brought to life in the Region and aims at creating its future. This event is held under auspices of Walder Pawlak, Vladimir Spidla, Bogusław Śmigielski and Professor Grabowska. The main topic of the forum is the silesian attractiveness of investments. Professor Grabowska is holding the patronage of the panel titled “Regions as the Europe’s future. Chances and threats. ”

25 February 2009, Bytom, Third Age University. Professor Grabowska after being invited by Mrs Ewa Tyburczyk – the president of self-government of Third Age University- has met with the students. She has also delivered a lecture titled “Light and Shade of Polish membership in the European Union”.
 
25 February 2009, Katowice, Polish Radio Katowice. After being invited by Mr Tomasz Heryszek- the assistant editor of Polish Radio Katowice- Professor Grabowska Participated in a programme titled “Eurovoices”. During the debate many issues, such as European response to the crisis, energy set and roles of Polish members of European Parliament were touched upon.
 
20 February 2009, Katowice, Meeting with winners of competitions. Professor Grabowska has met with the laureates of three competitions. Letycja Bartodziej, from Ruda Śląska is the winner of “Five commandments for on-line shoppers” competition, Mrs Joanna Nagórna from Zabrze- the winner of Valentine’s Day contest “Why do I love Silesia?”, Katarzyna Wielgosz and Agnieszka Roszak from Zabrze as well, the runners up in the same competition and Agnieszka Grelska from Zabrze who was awarded the 3rd place. At the meeting there were also present winners of on-line vote concerning “My European Family” contest- Joanna Szczygieł from Sadów, Szymon Nosal from Rybnik and Paulina Wieczorek.
 
20 February 2009, Katowice, Meeting with the board of State Care institution in Międzybrodzie Bialskie.  Professor Grabowska has met with Mr Marek Muszczak, the president of the Institution and with M.D. Jacek Matlak- the vice-president. During the meeting, problems that the Institution is facing were discussed. Also, Professor Grabowska has explained the way of getting European funds in order to help the financial situation of the Institution.
 
19 February 2009, Brussels, Europe for Patients. In this year, for the 1st time there is going to be the European Journalists Award presented. Professor Grabowska, a member of the Health Committee is encouraging all representatives of polish press to participate in this competition. The aim of this event is to promote high-class journalism concerning health. The purpose is to activate discussion both at the local and European level.

18-19 February 2009, Brussels, Plenary Session. During the current plenary session Politicians will be debating issues like common foreign politics, the role of the European Union in the Middle East and the role of NATO in the structures of European Union. In the European Parliament, there is going to be a special guest- Mr Vaclaw Klaus, the president of Czech Republic.
