09 May 2009, Katowice, The 5th year of Poland’s presence in the European Union. Invited by Mr Łukaszczyk-the province governor, Professor Grabowska participated in the celebration of that event. The event took place in the beautiful area of 3 Lakes in Katowice. Also, special sport races were held. Professor Grabowska to Brussels invited the winner of Nordic walking race – Mrs Katarzyna Smolik.

Professor Grabowska invited by Mr Tadeusz Donocik- the president of the Economic Chamber has participated in the gala during which the awards were given. The aim of this event is to promote the achievements of institutions, schools and other establishments.

We are happy to inform you that the amendment 138/46 concerning the freedom of access to the Internet was voted today in the Parliament and was accepted. The Centre-Left party and its members supported the amendments, which guarantee all Internet users a free access to the Internet.

29 April 2009, Katowice, 5th edition of the Competition “It is good to know Europe”. For the 5th time the competition was organised by the Higher School of Management in Katowice under the auspices of Professor Grabowska. During the finals professor Grabowska has delivered a lecture about the advantages and drawbacks of Poland’s membership in the European Union. The winners of the competition are invited by the Professor Grabowska to Brussels.

28 April 2009, Katowice, Election To the European Parliament. On Tuesday the coalition list of Centre-Left Party was registered. The number one on the list is Professor Grabowska. The coalition in the Silesia has been supported by over 20 000 signatures. We would like to thank all those who helped. The candidates to the European Parliament from the Agreement for the Future are responsible, well versed in the European law and respected.

24.04.2009, Strasbourg, Cheaper SMS. From 1st July SMS are going to be much cheaper. Text message will cost no more than 0.11 EUR. The European Parliament will still work on the prices of the connection in roaming. Now, the cost is 0.46 EUR and it is planned to be reduce to 0.35 in July.

15.04.2009 r., Brussels, Professor Grabowska about the protection of Polish Short-Wave-Radio-Users. On behalf of the 15 thousands users of short –wave-radio, Mr Tadeusz Pięta, the president of the board of Polish Short-Wave-Radio-Users Association has turned to Professor Grabowska for support. Professor Grabowska has expressed her concern about problems faced by the association and said that forthcoming changes of users` status may have negative influence on this valuable service in Poland.

09.04.2009 r., Brussels, NO for discrimination of Polish consumers. Professor Grabowska has submitted another interpellation concerning uneven treatment of Polish consumers in the European market. She has focused, that Polish consumers are forced to pay higher provisions while paying with credit cards than other members of European Union. Professor Grabowska has turned to the European Committee yet again, hoping that this disproportion will be reduced.
