20.12.2008 r., Przystajñ, Building of high school. Professor Grabowska at the invitation of Mr Andrzej Kucharczyk – alderman of Przystajñ municipality -participated in celebration of immurating on Foundation Act concerning building of high school and sports hall in Przystajñ. This investment are financed partly by European Union funds.

19.12.2008 r., Zawiercie, Meeting with seniors. Professor Grabowska took a part in meeting with listeners of Third Age University in Zawiercie and Members of Together for Zawiercie Association. During meeting Prof. Grabowska provided lecture “Senior in Europe” and was talking about her activities in European Parliament and current legislative works in European Parliament.

18.12.2008 r., Racibórz, Scarifying Flag of the School. Professor Grabowska participated in ceremony of scarifying flag of the school no. 4 in Racibórz. During the ceremony children from this school and their friend from Czech Republic was presenting performance “Star of Bethlehem over the Europe”.

17 December 2008, Strasbourg, Fundamental rights. Professor Grabowska during the debate concerning human rights in European Union has expressed her care for rights of children. She has touched upon the issue of poverty among children. According to report presented by the European Commission, Polish children are most likely to be exposed to poverty.

16 December 2008, Strasbourg. Professor Grabowska abouton the results of the French Presidency. Professor Grabowska expressed her satisfaction fromthe results of the French presidency in the EU, especially in the filed of the cross-border executions of alimony on which Prof. Grabowska prepared the EP report.

14 December 2008, Zabrze, 60th anniversary of Gornik Zabrze football team. Professor Grabowska accepted the invitation from Mrs Ma³gorzata Mañka- Szulik- the President of Zabrze and Mr Jêdrzej Jêdrych - the President of Górnik Zabrze team. During the meeting the interesting history of the club was presented; also, many famous football players participated in this celebration.

13 December 2008, Zawiercie, 10th anniversary of Zawiercie District. Professor Grabowska at the the invitation of Mr Ryszard Mach- the foreman of Zawiercie District and Mr Adam Rozlach - the President of Council participated in the celebrations dedicated to 10th anniversary of this district.

12 December 2008, Sosnowiec, Jan Kiepura City Club. At the invitation of Mr Kaba³a Professor Grabowska met with the members of the Kuznia Club in Sosnowiec. During the meeting Professor Grabowska presented the current works of the European Parialemnt. The discussion focused as well on role of Poland in European Union.

12 December 2008, Katowice, Polish Liquid Propellant Chamber. Professor Grabowska met with Mrs Halina Pupacz- the president of Polish Liquid Propellant Chamber. During the meeting the issue of high provisions taking by banks has been touched upon.

12 December 2008, Katowice, 7th Silesian European Clubs Forum. After accepting an invitation from Regional Informantion Centre Professor Grabowska met with the representatives of Schools` European Clubs from all over the Silesia Region. In her speech professor Grabowska informed the students about the works of the European Parialemtn and the forthcoming EP elections.

12 December 2008, Katowice, Ceremony of awarding a special prize- a computer set to the primary school in Racibórz. The school was chosen during the final of "My European Family" competition in Wyspianski Theatre.

12 December 2008, Katowice, Press Breakfast.During the Christmas breakfest for media professor Grabowska presented briefing of the next plenary session in Strasbourg. She as well presented the summary of her actions in 2008 year.

Take the 1st step towards European Funds. Informational meeting. Professor Grabwoska warmly encourages to participate in new series of meetings titled "Take the 1st step towards European Funds", which will take place in Professor`s office in Katowice on 17 December 2008.

Professor Grabowska as the only Polish member of European Parliament is nominated for the “Coherence Queen” Award. European Programme concerning coherence has observed and marked actions undertaken by members of European Parliament for the last 3 years. From 785 members of EP only 39 people was honoured by nomination, including Professor Grabowska.

6 December 2008, Katowice, My European Family. In the Silesian Theatre of Wyspianski the final of My European Family competition took place. The ceremony was divided into two parts: Firstly, the results were announced and prizes were given. Later, children participated in a special play. At the end of the meeting all children received a gift from Santa Claus.

3-4 December, Brussels, Plenary session. The next meeting of European Parliament in Brussels will be focusing on the European Council and difficult negotiations about the climate package. Parliament will also put Professor Grabowska`s report concerning alimony to vote. In Poland, only 10% of the obliged fulfil their duties.

2 December, Brussels, Civil Dialogue – the key to communicating Europe with European Parliament.Constitutional Committee of European Parliament has accepted Professor Grabowska`s report concerning the perspectives of dialogues` development after signing Lisbon Treaty. The report concentrates mainly on summary of recent achievements of European Union, its possible directions, aims and means which can be use in order to success.
